All the putters in the Precision Range feature our unique Bi-Concave™ Profile...
This unique design is the secret to our improved feel and consistency as it reduces the unnecessary weight of the putter head from above and below the striking zone in the centre of the putter and thereby perfectly balances the club head.
Toe / heel weighted putters have been around for many years, since the Anser style putter was first released, and the concept is arguably the the last major technological advancement in putter balance and stability... until now!
The Bi-Concave™ Profile develops the toe / heel weighting principle, accentuating and maximising its benefits by not only toe/heel weighting the putter, but also removing the mass from the centre. Allowing enhanced weight distribution between the heel and toe and crucial to ensuring consistency, this increases the clubs natural MOI and reduces club head twisting on impact, delivering the ultimate in both forgiveness and feel.
Shifting the majority of mass to the heel and toe, and unnecessary mass out of the centre of the putter, in short the sweetspot of the putter is enlarged and the putter head becomes more forgiving on off centre strikes. With the optimal set-up and clean follow through when putting with a Precision putter, the Bi-Concave™ head shape provides the ultimate in balance and forgiveness, helping the putter stay stable, balanced and encourages a smoother stroke, ensuring you strike putts confidently and consistently square to the hole and sink more putts on the greens!
Thanks to the enlarged sweetspot, and its exceptional soft feel, the Bi-Concave™ Profile also allows our face insert to be designed not to soften the impact with the putter head as is traditional with insert technolgy, but our unique insert polymer instead has been specifically developed to enhance feel and response in combination with the Bi-Concave™ Profile.
Incorporating therefore a much tougher polymer than traditionally used in inserts, this design is able to combine an exceptionally soft impact with a very crisp feel that unlike a standard soft insert will actually enhance consistency in distance control and feel on the greens.
Filmed at 2500 frames per second, the video on the left, taken during testing and development of the Bi-Concave Profile on our putting green in the National Fitting Centre, shows just how stable and resistant to twisting the putter head acutally is on a full toe strike.
This video is even more impressive as it is filmed with our Precision 7 blade - although traditionally blade style putters are the least forgiving on the greens due to their relative lack of stability when compared with more modern mallets with higher MOI, you can see just how effective the Bi-Concave technology is when combined into our traditional balde design. The Bi-Concave technology really can improve your scoring on the greens!
You can also see in the video the immediate forward roll generated on contact, with no skid, straight off our unique insert. For further high speed videos and other media please go to our video content in the Media Gallery using the main menu.
Overall, the Bi-Concave™ Profile is a very powerful advancement in putter design that will encourage you to make a smoother stroke, give you more confidence, increased forgiveness and improve consistency on the greens.
