We are very pleased to be able to congratulate Darren Clarke for his historic win at The Open on Sunday.  We were all watching live in the Fitting Centre as he played some fantastic golf to become the first Ulsterman since our own Fred Daly to win an Open Championship.
 
We are priviledged to be part of the Northern Irish golf community and to have our roots in the game with Fred Daly lifting the trophy in 1947 and it is fantastic to see.
 
Robin Daly, Fred Daly's son is sure his father would be proud to see another Ulstermans name following his on the trophy - and looks forward to not having to wait as long to see another one on the list!  With so much Northern Irish talent already on Tour, and  not very long since we saw first hand the emerging talent of tomorrow when we were coaching at the Darren Clarke Academy, we are sure it will be very soon!
 
Alan Boyd, our marketing Director, was interviewed on BBC Radio this morning and had great pleasure in congratulating Darren and discussing how Northern Ireland is fast becoming a global golf brand in itself.
 
We are all looking forward to the rest of the season and beyond and proudly continue to make our equipment in Northern Ireland!
